"Stepping onto the ground of Zozo Marine Stadium for the first time in a while brought back so many memories. I felt that the lighting has become more beautiful and brighter. Hearing the chants from the right-field stands for the first time since 2009... that was one of the things I was looking forward to today, so it felt great. Shunsuke's pitch? ...No good at all! (laughs)"

"Since there was no batter today, it was easy to throw (laughs). Usually, when a player stands there, I worry about hitting them, but today the catcher was Tasuku, so I threw with everything I had! Thanks to everyone in the stadium and the cheers from the right-field stands, I got a bit of an adrenaline rush and threw a good ball."

"The ground at Marine Stadium is great after all. The Marines have such unique cheering, so I was listening to it thinking, 'Ah, this brings back memories.' I was also happy to hear the Kubo chant after such a long time. I hooked the pitch a little bit, but it felt good. I'll go practice a bit more (laughs)."

▼Comment from Hisao Heiuchi▼
"Marine Stadium is great after all this time. The Hisao chant was nostalgic and brought back memories of those days. I'm glad I was able to safely catch Kubo-san's pitch."
