◇ Hokkaido Nippon-Ham vs. Chiba Lotte Marines 22nd Round (15th, ES CON FIELD)

Chiba Lotte Marines Koki Yamaguchi hit his 29th two-run homer, bringing him within one step of reaching 30 Home Run in a season, the first Japanese player on the team in 40 years since Hiromitsu Ochiai.

In the top of the sixth, just after being cut to 4-3 and a one-run lead, Yamaguchi came up to bat with two outs and a runner on first. On the first pitch of the third pitch, Seigi Tanaka pitcher, the ball pulled a high fastball with a strong pull, soared high and flew into the bullpen of left field.

Although he struggled to get home runs in September, his first home run in the Fukuoka Softbank game on the 13th made it two consecutive games. Finally, the big milestone is within reach.

◇ Comment from Player Yamaguchi
"I hit it straight. Straight is best, pitcher so I was able to tighten the ball and finish it in one pitch, which was great."
