On September 13, in the 31st round of the farm regular season between Fukuoka Softbank and Hiroshima held at Tama Home Stadium Chikugo, Fukuoka Softbank lost 6 to 12.

Fukuoka Softbank's starting pitcher Tomohisa Ozeki allowed the opening run on a timely hit in the top of the 1st inning, but the lineup immediately succeeded in turning the game around in the bottom of the 1st with a two-run timely hit by Yuto Akihiro. However, in the top of the 3rd, Ozeki allowed 4 runs due to a timely hit by Kota Hayashi and errors by teammates.

In the bottom of the 3rd, with a runner on second and one out, Akihiro's timely hit and an opponent's error brought back 2 runs, and in the bottom of the 4th, Downs hit his 2nd solo home run to tie the game. Ozeki survived a crisis in the top of the 5th and left the mound after 5 innings, 107 pitches, 9 hits, 2 Walks, and 5 runs (4 earned runs).

The relief squad wanted to hold firm, but in the top of the 6th, Ryusei Oe gave up a go-ahead two-run home run. In the top of the 7th, Hsu Jo-Hsi, and in the top of the 8th, Toshiya Nakamura each allowed runs, making the score 5 to 10. In the bottom of the 8th, Shuya Oizumi hit his 5th solo home run to get 1 run back, but in the top of the 9th, Koichiro Okada allowed 2 runs. The bottom of the 9th ended scoreless, and the game finished at 6 to 12. Akihiro recorded 2 hits and 3 RBI, and Ezaki recorded 3 hits.
