On September 28, Motonobu Tanishige and Tomoya Satozaki appeared on "Monday is also for Pa-Tele" on the Persol Pacific League TV official YouTube channel and discussed the characteristics of fielder who have long playing careers.

In the first half of the program, Tanishige and Satozaki looked back on the performances of Pacific League players who have announced their retirement this season. Looking at the list of retiring players again, Satozaki pointed out a common characteristic, saying, "fielder who continue their active careers for many years are all just 'annoying' guys!" He revealed the true meaning behind "annoying," saying, "Nakashima (Takuya) hits nothing but fouls and is annoying to closer. Kuriyama (Takumi) is also like that, and is good at hitting to the opposite field. Kakunaka (Katsuya), Nishino (Masahiro), and Akira Nakamura are all like that too."

Furthermore, Satozaki spoke passionately, saying, "Guys who can make a catcher think, 'This guy is annoying,' are the ones who can continue their active careers for many years. With the power-hitter types, their physical strength declines quickly, but the annoying types become even more annoying as they become veterans." Tanishige also praised them, saying, "They are men who found their own way to survive."

Finally, Satozaki concluded with a comment typical of him, "Let's give this title to the great players who are retiring: You guys were annoying!" Tanishige nodded, saying, "Isn't that the highest compliment?" as they expressed their appreciation for the players retiring this season.
