◇Hokkaido Nippon-Ham vs Orix Buffaloes Game 22 (19th, ES CON FIELD)

Orix Buffaloes' Yuma Mune hit his 13th 2-run home run.

In the top of the 6th inning trailing by one run, Yutaro Sugimoto reached base with a hit, and Mune stepped up for his third at-bat with one out and a runner on first. On a 1-1 count, he caught a breaking ball thrown by the opponent's starter Hiromi Ito pitcher, and the ball flew into the right-field bullpen. With his first home run since August 30th, he provided run support for starter Espinoza pitcher, who is in the race for the most wins.

So far this season, Mune has recorded more Home Run than his career high of 9 set in the 2021 season. He continues to be in good form, having reached base in eight consecutive games, including a three-hit performance against Fukuoka Softbank on the 17th.

◇Mune's Comment
"I hit a slider. I just wanted to connect to the next batter in a good way. It was a bit off the end (of the bat), but I'm glad it somehow turned into a home run!"
