◇Fukuoka Softbank vs Chiba Lotte Marines 23rd Round (13th, MIZUHO PayPay Dome)

Fukuoka Softbank's Yudai Yamamoto hit a go-ahead two-run timely doble.

In the bottom of the 3rd inning, immediately after conceding one run, Fukuoka Softbank created a chance with one out and second base against pitcher Lucchesi, and caught up to a tie with Tomoya Masaki 's timely doble. Still maintaining a chance with two outs and bases loaded following two Walks, Yamamoto hit a timely doble that went over the right fielder's head, bringing two runners home. This provided support for the starting pitcher Taiga Kamichatani, who forms the battery with him.

Although his batting average in September was .185 (as of before the game), Yamamoto had recorded his third 3-hit game of the season in the first game of this series. As the season reaches its climax, he is gradually improving his condition.

◇Comment from Yamamoto
"I hit a two seam fastball. I just had the feeling of wanting to capitalize on the chance somehow. Anyway, I'm glad I could get a timely hit and make the most of the opportunity. I will do my best in both offense and defense to ensure this leads to a victory."
