On September 12, the 16th farm regular season game between Rakuten Eagles and Oisix Niigata was held at Shinrindori Stadium Izumi, and Rakuten Eagles lost 3 to 5.

Rakuten Eagles starting pitcher Masahiro Ehara allowed a 2-run lead in the top of the 3rd inning. However, the lineup immediately gained a bases loaded chance with no outs in the bottom of the 3rd through Daita Horomura 's doble and 2 Walk, and succeeded in reversing the lead right away with Shion Otsubo 's 2-run timely doble and Hideto Asamura 's sacrifice fly.

In the top of the 6th with a 1-point lead, the second pitcher Florimon gave up a game-tying solo home run. In the top of the 8th, pitcher Tomohito Sakai allowed a 2-point lead from a timely doble with runner on 1st and 2nd and 1 out, following a hit and a teammate's error.

From the 4th inning onwards, the lineup was unable to convert runner into points. In the bottom of the 9th, pinch hitter Shoya Sakaue drew a Walk, but the following batters were retired, ending the game at 3 to 5. Starting pitcher Ehara threw 86 pitches over 5 innings with 3 hit, 3 Walk, 2 strike out, and 2 runs (1 earned runs). In the lineup, Otsubo marked 2 RBI.
