Shinohara joined Seibu Lions in 2024 as the fifth pick in the draft from Fukui Institute of Technology Fukui High School. Last season, his rookie year, he made his first-team debut as a starter, and this season, his second as a professional, he has switched to reliever and has become a key part of the team's win formula. So far, he has appeared in 31 games, contributing to the team with a record of 1 win, 2 losses, 23 hold, and 1 save.

Manager Nishiguchi praised the right-hander's performance, saying, "He did well, more than enough. He's only in his second year out of high school, but he's practically like a first-year and has done very well up to this point." He explained that he gave him an early rest in preparation for the second half of the season, saying, "He must be tired, he's been pitching in those kinds of situations for so long." The pitcher will now join the farm team to participate in practice and aims to return to the first team in as little as 10 days after making some appearances in actual games.
