On July 19, in the 12th round of the Farm regular season Hokkaido Nippon-Ham vs. Yokohama DeNA held at The Fighters Kamagaya Stadium, Hokkaido Nippon-Ham lost 4-9.

Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Starting pitcher Ryodai Matsumoto pitcher showed a strong start, fending off the opponent's attacks with three batters through the third inning. However, in the top of the fourth, Ayato Inoue hit his fifth three-run homer to give up the lead, and then gave up a two-run single for a total of five runs. He was pulled after 76 pitches in five innings, 7 hit 1 Walk 3 strike out 5 runs.

In the bottom of the fourth, Kane Edokpolo hit his 15th solo homer, but in the top of the sixth, Koki Matsuoka pitcher gave up a solo homer, making the score 1-6. Immediately after, in the bottom of the sixth, with no outs and bases loaded, consecutive RBI hits by Toki Hido and Uta Sakaguchi closed the gap to two runs, but fourth pitcher Lao pitcher scored two runs in the top of the eighth, his first mound in about three and a half months. A series of errors led to two runs. In the top of the ninth, Takahide Ikeda pitcher gave up a timely hit, ending the game 4-9.

Rookie Edpolo recorded his first home run in two games. Third pitcher Haruka Nemoto pitcher returned from left elbow surgery in regular season, retired all three batters including two struck out inning in order.
