The Mynavi All-Star Game 2026 will be held at Tokyo Dome on Tuesday, July 28th, and at Toyama Municipal Baseball Stadium on Wednesday, July 29th. On the 13th, the players selected by the managers were announced. The players selected from Pacific League and their comments are as follows.

"I am very honored to be able to participate through the manager's selection. I am very happy to be able to stand on the All-Star stage again, which I have admired since I was a child. I want to showcase my strengths, aim for three consecutive struck out, and play in a way that everyone watching can enjoy."

Shoma Fujihira pitcher pitcher / First Selection)
"I've always wanted to be selected for the All-Star Game at least once since turning pro, so I'm very happy. It's the only time of year when I can purely enjoy playing baseball while exchanging ideas with high-level players from other teams, so I'm really looking forward to it and hope to absorb a lot of information. In Central League there's my childhood friend Sakakura (Hiroshima), and we've played baseball together since we were little, so it would be great to face him on that stage. It's my first appearance, so I'll do my best to let the fans get to know Shoma Fujihira of Rakuten Eagles."

Ryosuke Tatsumi (outfielder / 2nd appearance)
"I'm incredibly happy to be selected for the All-Star team. It's a gathering of top-class professional players, so I want to show everyone what it means to be a professional and play to the best of my ability. I think a great group of players have gathered here that will show everyone that Pacific League is stronger, so I'll do my best to overwhelm Central League. I'll also do my best to contribute in any small way I can to making it exciting."

Mitsunari Takahashi pitcher (pitcher, Category / 2nd entry)
"I'm really happy to have been selected by the coaching staff, and I'm already looking forward to it.I also played in the Coach’s Selection in 2019, but to be honest, it remains a bittersweet memory for me. This year, drawing on that experience, I want to play boldly and enjoy myself. Since I don’t usually have many opportunities to talk with these players, I want to communicate proactively and learn as much as I can. In particular, Ito pitcher from The Fighters is a leading pitcher in Japan, so I’m looking forward to hearing his insights and learning from him.”

Hakua Iwaki pitcher (pitcher, Category / First-time selection)
“Since this is being held in my hometown, I really wanted to participate, so I’m very happy to have been selected by the manager. I pitched at Toyama Municipal Stadium back in high school, but I don’t have very fond memories of it, so I want to give a performance at this All-Star Game that will help me change that image: pitch. hitter I plan to enjoy the atmosphere with the mindset of throwing nothing but curves. I also hope to learn as much as possible from the senior players who are excelling as relievers for their respective teams and use that to help me grow. I’ll do my absolute best to put on a good show for the local fans.”

"I never thought I'd be selected, so I'm truly happy. I'm grateful to have been chosen as a member of the manager's team, and I'll do my best. I believe my strength is my straight pitching, so I want to pitch in a way that excites the fans in the stadium and contribute to Pacific League 's win."

Ryo Ota (infielder / 2nd time)
"I'm genuinely happy to have been selected. Last year at the All-Star Game, I was the only Orix Buffaloes player who didn't hit home run, so I'd like to hit one this year. So many great hitter have been selected, so I'd like to hear their stories, and I want to enjoy the All-Star atmosphere while playing in my own style."

Ryoma Nishikawa (outfielder / 3rd time)
"I'm surprised myself to have been selected, but since it's such a great opportunity, I want to play while having fun and trying not to stand out too much (laughs). I want to interact with various players and expand my own repertoire."

Q. About your first All-Star Game appearance in two years
A. I was aiming for the All-Star Game, so two years ago I was both nervous and enjoying it.

Q. Two years ago, you allowed only one runs in two inning with eight hitter. What kind of performance do you want to show at this year's All-Star Game?
A. Yes, I just want to get the out as quickly as possible and get back to the dugout.

Q. hitter in Central League would you like to face?
A. There's Teruaki Sato, who's also my classmate, and hitter in the baseball world. I'd like to enjoy competing against them again.

A. I'm truly overwhelmed with joy. I'm grateful to NPB and my team for selecting me.

hitter you pitched a perfect game to three batters with just four pitches. What are your aspirations for this year?
A. The most important thing is that I want to have fun. I'm playing on a really great team, and I want to enjoy myself with the other players and carry that good momentum into the second half of the season.

Q. You've also played in the MLB All-Star Game. Are there any differences between that and NPB?
A. I don't think there's much difference. The NPB All-Star Game is also very fun, and there are many exciting points, so I'm looking forward to enjoying it again this year.
