Masashi Yamamoto, who played professionally until the age of 50 and recorded 219 career wins, praised Kishi pitcher ’s pitch, saying, “He’s full of energy. I think he’s still got plenty left in the tank.His physique hasn’t changed, and his pitching style hasn’t changed either. His pitches have great bite—he’s really something.”

He continued, “I’m really hoping he can reach 200 wins. I think I was probably the last player to reach 200 wins just in Japan. I’d love to see a player like him keep pitching at a high level for another five years or so,” expressing his high hopes.

Furthermore, when GG Sato asked Yamamoto for “tips on how to stay active for a long time,” he replied, “It’s not really a tip, but surprisingly, your performance doesn’t drop off from that point.
