Starting pitcher Kyosuke Saito had runner on pitch from the start, but closer the opponent runs through five innings. In the bottom of the third inning, the offense scored first when Sota Nakanishi hit triple, followed by Shikira Nogami 's timely hit. Saito retired pitcher in order in the top of the sixth inning, and left the game after 6 innings, 85 pitches, 4 hit 1 Walk 7 strike out runs.

The relief pitchers got the job done in the top of the 7th inning with just 9 pitches from pitcher Kento Kawase, and in the top of the 8th inning, pitcher Shota Abe faced a bases loaded situation but managed runs without giving up a run. Finally, pitcher Reiji Higashiyama closed out the game, securing a shutout game win. Shikira Nogami, who hit the go-ahead RBI, also recorded two hit.
