Saitama Seibu Lions Kazunari Ishii hit his third solo home run to take the lead.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, with neither team scoring a run, Ishii came to bat as the leadoff hitter. Against the opposing starter Ondai Inoue pitcher, he caught the seventh pitch from full count, a high inside pitch, and drove it to the right field pole stand. With this single stroke, he gave his team the opening goal.

Ishii hit his first Home Run in about a month since the May 12 Fukuoka Softbank game. At his home ground, Belluna Dome, he made his first Home Run since the transfer.
