On September 28, in the 25th round between Saitama Seibu Lions and Tohoku Rakuten Eagles held in Belluna Dome, Tohoku Rakuten Eagles win 4-2.

In the first inning, Tohoku Rakuten Eagles took the lead with one out, runners on first and third, and Daisuke Nakashima and hit Hiroto Kobukata with runners on first and third, and an error by an enemy and a timely hit by Ryosuke Tatsumi gave them the lead. In the top of the second, they added a run between infield grounders, and in the top of the third, YG Yasuda hit their seventh solo homer, extending their lead to four runs.

Starting pitcher Takayuki Kishi pitcher gave up his 12th solo home run to Seiya Watanabe in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Still, he was taken out after 5 innings with 86 pitches, 6 hit 1 Walk 5 strike out 1 runs in the pitch to close the crucial moment. The relief team was in the bottom of the 6th. Although second pitcher Ureña pitcher gave up one run, Marte pitcher retired all three batters in the bottom of the 7th. In the bottom of the eighth, Ryu Kutani pitcher was ejected with one out and a dangerous pitch due to a head Hit by Pitch, but Masaya Nishigaki pitcher retired two consecutive struck out of the next inning. In the bottom of the ninth, Shoma Fujihira pitcher closed the game, ending the game 4-2.

For the win Tohoku Rakuten Eagles, pitcher Kishi earned his fifth win, and Nakajima delivered three hit in the lineup. Meanwhile, Saitama Seibu Lions saw their starter Chihiro Sumida pitcher leave after 12 pitches due to an accident. The lineup closed the gap to two runs, but the comeback couldn't catch up. Watanabe also recorded 2 hit 2 RBI, including one home run.
