Pacific League To commemorate the anime adaptation of “The Bread Thief”—a wildly popular picture book series featuring surreal and whimsical characters created by picture book author Keiko Shibata, along with its unexpected plot twists that appeal to readers of all ages—will begin sequentially releasing special collaboration merchandise at each team’s official store starting Friday, July 31, 2026. (Release dates may vary by store.)

For this collaboration, original illustrations featuring characters from the “Bread Thief” anime wearing each team’s cap—holding bats or cheering on the team—baseball have been used to create a charming collection. The lineup consists of seven items in total, ranging from small accessories like acrylic stands and pin badges to everyday essentials such as face towels and Sagara pouches.

Additionally, to commemorate the release of the collaboration merchandise, it has been confirmed that a giant “Pan Dorobou” character will make an appearance at “Rakuten Eagles” Mobile’s “Strongest Park Miyagi” on Thursday, August 13. The giant “Pan Dorobou” is also scheduled to visit select ballparks, with details to be announced at a later date.
