Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Taiki Narama hit his fourth home run of the season.
After being tied in the top of the 5th inning, it was the bottom of the 5th inning when Narama stepped up to the plate as the leadoff hitter. He connected with the second pitch thrown by opposing starting pitcher Taiga Kamichatani, cutter. The ball soared high into the air and landed in the upper deck of the left field stands for a go-ahead home run.
Narama hit his first home run since the game against Saitama Seibu Lions on June 28th. Having achieved career-high batting statistics this season, he wants to win the competition for a regular spot and make his presence felt in the championship race.
