◇ Hokkaido Nippon-Ham vs. Fukuoka Softbank, Game 12 (April 14th, ES CON FIELD)

Fukuoka Softbank Hawks' Tomoya Masaki recorded his fourth multi-hit game of the season. He also made some great plays defense, showcasing his dynamism both offensively and defensively.

First, in the bottom of the first inning, he chased down a hit that looked like it would break through right-center field, and made a jumping catch at the end. He supported starting pitcher Naoyuki Uwasawa 's start with a fine play.

On the batting side, aiming to find a clue to the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham and Koki Kitayama pitcher, he reached base in his first at-bat to hit to left field, and again in his second at-bat to hit to right field. Then, in the top of the 5th inning with the score tied 0-0, he slammed a high pitch with force, sending a sharp ball to the upper stands of the left field stands. He hit his 12th solo homer, his third hit of the day from pitcher Kitayama, breaking the tie of the game.

"I hit fastball. With no two outs or runner at the plate, I focused on extra-base hits and boldly went for the swing. I was able to swing solidly, and home run was the best form I could get. With Uesawa holding firm, I was able to score the first run and provide support, which was great. I'll do my best to somehow turn that into a win."
