Fukuoka Softbank Yuki Yanagita The player achieved his 300th doble, becoming the 81st player in history to do so.

In his first at-bat in the first inning, Yanagita hit a timely single with one out and hit on third base. He then recorded another hit in his fourth at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning. In his fifth at-bat in the bottom of the eighth inning, he hit a ball that broke through right-center field, reaching second base. This marked his third hit of the day, a significant milestone.

Yanagita joined Fukuoka Softbank in 2010 as the second overall pick in the draft. Despite seasons plagued by injuries, he has consistently played in the first team every year since his rookie year, leading the team with his exceptional power hitting. This season, his 16th as a professional and the oldest player on the team, he has appeared in 70 games so far. On May 12th, he became the 213th player in history to reach 1500 career games played, and on the 7th of this month, he achieved double-digit Home Run for the first time in three years since 2023.
