Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters player Kengo Yoshida hit a career-high 5th home run of the season.

In the bottom of the third inning, with a one-run lead and one out with no runner on base, he stepped up to the plate for his second at-bat. On a 0-1 count, he skillfully connected with a low breaking ball thrown by opposing pitcher Jerry, sending the ball into bullpen in right field. It was a confident hit that added a valuable insurance run.

Yoshida has been in excellent batting form recently, hitting four Home Run in the last four games, including two consecutive Home Run in the game against the Saitama Seibu Lions on the 26th. He has also recorded RBI in four consecutive games, making a significant contribution to the team.
