Hokkaido Nippon-Ham 's Kengo Yoshida hit a timely RBI single to score an additional run.

In the top of the 6th inning, with a one-run doble, Tatsuki Mizuno hit a double to create a scoring opportunity with two outs and a runner on second base. On the first pitch from opposing pitcher Yutaro Watanabe, he hit a low outside breaking ball to left field. It was a valuable hit that provided support for starting pitcher Ren Fukushima who had been pitching well up to that point.

Yoshida continues to impress in June with a monthly batting average of .391 (as of before the game). In this series, he has hit a total of three Home Run in two games, and this timely hit has given him RBI in three consecutive games. He is demonstrating his clutch hitting ability.
