​Nevin of Saitama Seibu Lions hit an RBI single in the first inning.

In the first inning, the No. 3 batter, Junichiro Kishi reached base on a doble, setting up a scoring opportunity with two outs. Next up, Nevin hit the opposing starter’s Ren Fukushima pitcher straight pitch toward center fielder, and center fielder, who attempted a diving catch, fell just short. The ball slipped through to left-center field for an RBI doble.
　
Nevin had been sidelined since the 12th due to poor physical condition, but since returning on the 25th, he has recorded a hit in four consecutive games hit. On the 26th, he delivered a game-tying RBI single in the late innings, and so far in this series, he has tallied 9 At Bat and 5 hit.

“It was a fastball. I was able to drive a pitch that was a bit off the mark back to center fielder. I’m glad we were able to score the first run.”
