◇ Tohoku Rakuten Eagles vs Saitama Seibu Lions Game 10 (23rd, Kirayaka Stadium)

Saitama Seibu Lions 's Kazunari Ishii player fired timely doble.

In the top of the second inning, Junichiro Kishi reached base at hit, and with one out and a runner on first, Ishii entered his first at-bat. On the first pitch thrown by the opposing starter Ryota Takinaka pitcher, he picked up a low splitter, and the ball flew over right fielder 's head to wall. With a brilliant go-ahead hit, he supported the starting pitcher Winance pitcher.

Last season, Ishii played 108 games in Hokkaido Nippon-Ham, posting a .259 batting average with 6 Home Run. In his first year after the transfer, he has already posted 3 Home Run but is struggling with a .220 batting average before the game. With this timely hit, Ishii marked his sixth consecutive game of hit appearances, and will he finally show his true potential from here?

◇ Ishii's Comment
"The one who hit was sinker. Kishi (Junichiro) persisted and got on base, so I somehow got into the bat trying to keep going. The moment I hit it, I thought I had broken through, but thanks to Kishi's nice run, I was able to score first. Kishi, nice run!!
