Chiba Lotte Marines announced that actress and model Himeka Shintani, a native of Misawa City, Aomori Prefecture, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at their game against Hokkaido Nippon-Ham on Wednesday, July 8th at Zozo Marine Stadium. The game will also be titled "THIS IS MISAWA Night Game," sponsored by Misawa City, Aomori Prefecture, which is an official sponsor of Chiba Lotte. The first pitch ceremony is scheduled to take place around 5:45 PM as part of the "THIS IS MISAWA Night Game" first first baseman ceremony.

"This will be my first time ever throwing first baseman pitch. I've always wanted to do it, so I was very happy when I was asked. I'm fairly confident in the strength of my arm, so I'll practice a lot to try and throw it without it bouncing. And I'll also be cheering on Chiba Lotte Marines with all my might during their game afterwards!"
