◇ Chiba Lotte Marines vs. Yokohama DeNA 'Nippon Life Central and Pacific League Interleague 2026' Round 3 (14th, Zozo Marine Stadium)

Chiba Lotte Marines Kyuto Ueda hit his third solo home run to tie the game.

In the bottom of the fifth, right after allowing the lead to take the lead, Ueda entered his second at-bat as the leadoff hitter. On the fourth pitch thrown by the opposing starter Shuto Ogata pitcher, he swung through a softly made fastball, sending the ball into the right-field stands. With a perfect arch, he brought the game back to square one.

Ueda was deregistered on May 28 and registered with the first team on June 10. He scored in his fourth game back. The team then took the lead thanks to a two-run hit by Koki Yamaguchi player.

◇ Comment from Ueda
"I hit straight at home. I kept swinging straight and losing the whole time, and even Saburo told me to go straight, so I stood at the plate thinking about it and got a good result, so I'm glad."
