Saitama Seibu Lions 's pitcher, Chihiro Sumida, delivered a strong performance, throwing 110 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 7 hit 1 Walk strike out 5, and giving up only 1 runs.

In the first inning, pitcher Sumida gave up a run on consecutive hits by Ryoma Nishikawa and Tomoya Mori with one out. He then faced a dangerous situation with runners on first and second with one out, but managed to get out of the inning and limit the runs to just one run.
