◇ Hokkaido Nippon-Ham vs. Tohoku Rakuten Eagles, Game 10 (19th, ES CON FIELD)

Hokkaido Nippon-Ham 's Yuya Gunji hit a go-ahead two-run homer, his third of the season.

Trailing by one run in the bottom of the second inning, lead-off hitter Reyes hit and advanced to first base. At bat, Gunji stepped up to the plate and connected with the third pitch from opposing pitcher Kosei Shoji, breaking ball down the middle. The ball hit the top of the left-center wall for a Home Run run, giving his team the lead.

This was Gunji's Home Run in about a month and a half, since April 3rd. His batting average this season is in the low .200s, which is somewhat disappointing, but can he improve from here?
