Orix Buffaloes Kento Kawase pitcher made his first appearance of the season. He delivered excellent relief pitches with two innings, 1 hit no fours, Hit by Pitch 1 strike out, no runs.

pitcher Kawase came in as the third pitcher in the top of the sixth inning with the team trailing by three runs. With two outs, he allowed hit to Yuya Gunji players, but thanks to strong defense by second baseman and Sho Gibo, he closer runs without a game. He also pitched in the top of the 7th inning, struck out Reyes, Yuki Nomura, and Kota Yazawa in order to retire all three.

In the farm team, he played 10 games (3 starts), with a 1-1 record, totaling 20 inning and a ERA pitcher of 5.40. Upon being promoted to the first team that day, he immediately delivered strong relief performances.
