In the bottom of the 3rd inning trailing by 2 runs, the leadoff hitter Yudai Shoji created a chance with a triple. The following batter Tomoya Masaki did not miss a breaking ball that hung high from the opposing starter Koki Kitayama pitcher, and pulled back one run with an RBI doble that hit the wall directly.

Still with a good opportunity at one out and 3rd base, Kensuke Kondo knocked a breaking ball that came into the middle back to right field, returning the game to the starting point. Both Tomoya Masaki and Kensuke Kondo recorded RBI following the first game, showing their presence even in this big match.
