2026 Persol Climax Series Pacific League Final Stage Game 1: Softbank Hawks vs. Nippon-Ham (14th, Mizuho PayPay Dome)

Softbank Hawks pitcher Liván Moinelo was caught in a tie in the second inning, immediately after receiving one run of support.

Reyes, the lead-off batter, dropped a hit into center field, followed by Shibata also hitting a single to center. This created a crisis with runners on first and second and no outs. Although the next batter, Shindo, was struck out swinging, Mizuno hit a ball to center field, resulting in one out and the bases loaded. A run was then lost during the subsequent ground ball to shortstop by Yamagata.

Even so, with two outs and runners on first and third, he got Narama to swing and struck out. He held firm with minimum runs and did not allow a comeback.
