Rakuten Eagles manager Masato Yoshii

Rakuten Eagles manager Masato Yoshii spoke about the reasons why he has been observing the Miyazaki Phoenix League immediately after the end of the season.

The season ended on the 5th. While the first-team main players have been given about two weeks of rest, the young players and farm team members have been participating in the Phoenix League since the 7th. The manager also arrived in Miyazaki on the 6th, the day after the season ended, to directly check on the young players. Regarding the purpose of his visit, Manager Yoshii said, "There is nothing special about it," but explained, "Since I joined the Rakuten Eagles The Eagles midway through, I haven't had many opportunities to see the second-team players, and I haven't had the chance to talk thoroughly with the coaches and staff, so I thought this was a good opportunity."

He also creates opportunities to communicate directly with the players. He revealed, 'What I say varies from person to person, but since I want to know how everyone is approaching baseball, it's more about asking them what they're thinking or mentioning things I've noticed during casual conversation.'

What the commander seeks from the young players is this: "I don't have specific demands like 'do this' or 'do that.' After all, they entered the professional world because they have their own unique characteristics, so I want them to firmly develop their own strengths." He expressed his hope that they would grow by making the most of their advantages.
